ODISA played an active role in relief operations and reconstruction programmes launched after the
super-cyclone hit Orissa coast in Oct. 1999. Hundreds of fishermen families who lost everything during cyclone are rehabilitated with boats and nets, thanks to the contribution received from Andheri Hilfe and the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent's North Indian Province. Similarly 300 farmers are helped with capital to restart farming.
